- Forwarding the disappearing message to a chat where the sender has not switched the message’s disappearing messages will remain in the forwarded chat even after 7 days.
- After sending the disappearing message, if the recipient doesn’t open the chat, the message will get disappear. But according to WhatsApp, a preview of the received message might still be displayed in notifications until the messenger is opened.
- The disappearing message will be included in the backup if the backup is created before the message disappears. But the message will get deleted after the user restores the backup.
- It is possible to forward and take a screenshot of the disappearing message.
- The initial message will get quoted on replying to the disappearing message. That quoted message might remain in the chat there even after 7 days time period.
